The general secretary of the Popular Party (PP) in Lanzarote, Jacobo Medina, has criticized that the Canarian Coalition (CC), since it began the government pact in Arrecife with the formation it represents, has only done is "obstruct the work of Astrid Pérez" and "make her look bad" calling her disloyal, "when they have been disloyal".
Medina indicated in an interview on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero that there are parties "that we present ourselves to the elections to support the government partners if we have to be second" and others, such as CC, "that only appear to hinder issues".
For this reason, he has asked the nationalist formation to "have a look" at what has happened in other places such as Yaiza or Haría, and that "be more faithful, hinder less and respect the government partner."
Pérez has been "up to the task"
On the question of whether the PP could abandon the pact, Medina has stated that with 120-odd days to go before the elections, they are not going to "generate chaos in the town hall".
Likewise, the secretary has defended the governance of Astrid Pérez, who, in his opinion, "has left her skin in all the positions she has been in" and is a mayor who has been "up to the task", even having to endure "the continuous difficulties that CC has put in place".
