The Emilia storm marked this Saturday, December 13, 2025, a day of intense rains in Lanzarote, leaving behind numerous images and videos that reflect the force of the meteorological episode. Ravines full of water, flooded streets, and manholes bursting due to accumulated pressure were some of the most repeated scenes throughout the morning, especially in ArrecifeAccording to the accumulated rainfall data up to 1:30 PM, the municipality of Yaiza has registered the highest values, with 60.00 mm in the Yaiza Football Field and 32.80 mm at the Uga station. Also noteworthy are the 38.40 mm collected in Montaña Blanca (San Bartolomé) and the 31.00 mm at the Civil Protection station in TíasIn Arrecife, the rains left 18.40 mm in the Tenderete area and 11.20 mm in Punta de los Vientos. Precisely in the capital, several videos have been shared on social media showing how the water overflowed the sewage system, with manhole covers lifted by the pressure and debris such as wipes emerging, a situation especially visible on Cienfuegos streetOther points on the island also registered significant amounts of water, such as Los Valles (Teguise) with 29.60 mm, Tinajo with 22.20 mm, Arrieta (Haría) with 13.80 mm, or Playa Honda (San Bartolomé) with 19.20 mm.
