The Directorate General of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared the pre-alert situation for rain in the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura over, as of 5:00 PM this Sunday, once the adverse weather conditions that led to its activation have concluded.

The decision is made based on updated predictions from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) and other available sources, and in application of the Canary Islands Specific Emergency Plan for Adverse Meteorological Phenomena Risks (PEFMA), which is also deactivated.

However, as reported by the Emergency Consortium, **the alert for coastal phenomena remains in effect**, due to the forecast of waves between 4 and 6 meters, which necessitates maintaining preventive measures along the coastIn this regard, surveillance will continue to prevent people from accessing the coastlines in the entire northern, western, and southwestern areas of the island of Lanzarote, as well as along the entire coast of La Graciosa, as a preventive measure against the rough sea conditions
