The taxi drivers of San Bartolomé defend themselves from the complaints made by a La Voz reader a few days ago, who explained that they had been forced to take two taxis from the airport to Playa Blanca for six people in the family.
"The person in question arrived to request the taxi with a rather arrogant and angry attitude," explains the representative of the Ajey Tamia taxi cooperative. "We have a municipal ordinance, which we have to comply with and which obliges us to attend in order of arrival without being able to alter the order, with the only exception of PMR or adapted vehicles, which are not 6-seater," he adds.
The taxi drivers' representative explains that "the colleague who was in T2 explained the procedure to him, to which the person in question responded with shouts and in a very bad way."
"At that moment I arrived and she approached my car shouting and hitting my vehicle without wanting to listen to the explanations that I intended to give her to try to find a solution to her problem. My response was in a very good way, asking her to please not shout at me or hit the car. Her response was more shouting and some bad language," says the representative of the Ajey Tamia cooperative.
Therefore, the taxi drivers' spokesman defends that "no one has to endure this type of aggressive behavior, much less tolerate the distortion of the facts with insults."
