Canary Islands offers 556 public employment positions in the General Administration

The decrees state that 242 are for career civil servants, while 314 are for permanent labor staff

The Governing Council approved this Monday, at the proposal of the Minister of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security, Nieves Lady Barreto, two public employment offers (OPE) for the General Administration of the Autonomous Community with a total of 556 positions corresponding to the year 2025. Of these, 242 positions are for career civil servants and 314 for permanent staff through open access.

Of the positions offered for civil servants contemplated in the decree, 169 positions correspond to the calls for entry into public employment, through the **general system of free access**, to the Bodies, Scales and Specialties, and where applicable professional groups, of career civil servants.

The distribution is as follows: general administrators (16); general administrators with a legal specialty (4); financial and tax administrators (6); senior statisticians (5); industrial engineers (1); forestry engineers (1); telecommunications (3); prevention technicians (1); lawyers (1); health administration medicine (16); agriculture veterinary (1); health administration veterinary (2); care veterinary (3); information technology (3); medical inspectors (4); ship administration and management (1); general management (7); financial and tax management (6); assistant archivists (2); assistant librarians (1); technical architects (2); agricultural technical engineers (6); forestry technical engineers (2); industrial technical engineers (1); information technology (1); prevention technicians (1); social worker (4); electricity and automation (1); maneuvering and navigation (3); administrative staff (13); IT assistants (3); library, archives, and documentation center assistants (6); assistants (34); and subordinate staff (8).

On the other hand, 73 positions, representing 30% of the total offer, will correspond to the calls for entry into public employment, through horizontal and vertical internal promotion, to the Corps, Scales and Specialties, and where applicable, professional groups, of career civil servants, with the distribution shown in Annex II of the decree.Within the scope of internal promotion contained in this Public Employment Offer, 19 of the total positions offered are reserved for the Administrative CorpsIn addition, 25 places are reserved for people with disabilities, representing 10% of the total places offered, of which 4 places are reserved for people with mild, moderate, or borderline intellectual disabilities, and 21 places are reserved for people with other types of disabilitiesFixed workforce staff

The Council has also approved the Public Employment Offer for the General Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for permanent staff for the year 2025, which comprises a total of 314 positions, to be filled through open access.

The positions are distributed as follows, by designation: educator (15); early childhood educator (20); autopsy assistant (3); specialist technician (2); cook (48); caregiver (29); maintenance-guard (23); laboratory assistant (1); complementary services assistant (75); analyst II (9); kitchen helper (29); chambermaid-cleaner (28); sailor (2); domestic service (14); cleaner (7), agricultural laborer (9).

Of the total positions offered, 10% are reserved, equivalent to 32 positions, for people with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%, of which 2%, which is a total of six positions, are reserved for people with mild, moderate, or borderline intellectual disabilities, applied to Group V, and the rest, which is 8%, representing a total of 26 positions, for the rest of the types of disabilities

Both decrees will be published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands, where their content and annexes can be consulted.
