A reader of La Voz denounces the taxi service at the César Manrique airport. "Do you know the taxi rules at Lanzarote airport? Apparently it is to leave children and people with health problems waiting for more than an hour since, according to their supposed law, they cannot send taxis until they are in the first line", criticizes the complainant.

"We were a family with four children, one of them a baby, and they left us waiting for a six-passenger taxi that was in terminal 1 because it was not in the first line", explains the complainant. "We complained, I spoke with the president of the taxi line and he ignored me. He didn't get out of the car or turn on the light, at least to see his face", she adds.

The reader explains that they arrived at the airport at 8:30 p.m., but it was not until 10:15 p.m. that they sent the taxi. "They wanted to force us to take two taxis to Playa Blanca, which is a fairly high amount for a large family".

"I would like to make known what is happening because the taxi drivers themselves were telling us that they could not do anything and they are not happy with the situation. Also, they are fined if they skip the regulations", concludes the complainant.
