The last day of the XII César Manrique Trophy - RCNA - Calero Marinas was marked by the lack of wind, which prevented all the scheduled regattas from being held in the bay of Arrecife.
Both group 1 (ORC 1, ORC 2 and ORC 3) and group 2 (ORC 4 and ORC 5) were able to demonstrate their skills in a regatta that would close the final general classification and that served for the spectators to see all these boats in action once again.
In ORC 1 and ORC 2, the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise scored a new victory to end up securing the title of champion of a classification that did not vary. The boat of Ye Cabrera (3 points) was followed by the Katanga and the Muyay (9) to complete the podium, closing the classification the Arcturus (12) and the Sorondongo IV (18).
The Lanzarote Sailing Paradise soon took the lead, without ever losing the top positions, with the Katanga being the only boat able to keep up with the pace. The Muyay was not confident, signing a very serious regatta despite seeming to have secured a third place that it would finally obtain. While the Arcuturus would have to settle for fourth place.
There was also no time to change a qualifying table that perfectly defended the Solum Aedas Home of Lucio Pérez in ORC 3, which was also intractable from the beginning. The Ferrer y García did not make things easy for him, fighting until the end, being the only one with options to assault a first place that he disputed in the first section of the competition. Although finally the Solum Aedas Home (3) was extending the difference in its favor, achieving the gold comfortably. The Ferrer y García (6) had to settle for the silver in this category, while the Pionene (10) was third. The Alaia I (11) and the Poseidon (15) completed, in that order, the places of the ORC 3.
The same happened with the boat of Joaquín Blanco in ORC 4-5, and the Buchata (3 pts.) was also able to remain as leader, repeating victory and title for the team from Gran Canaria.
Much more disputed this category, but with a Buchata that chose a better strategy to achieve a deserved victory, with many boats focused on winning the title. This was the case of the Calero Marinas Wind, the Maeña 9 and the Calero Marinas Lanzarote, which were very close to the wake marked by the Gran Canarians. Finally, it would be the Maeña 9 (4) and the Tango (5) who won the second and third place, respectively. The Calero Marinas Wind Team (8) was one step away from the podium, with a remarkable fourth place, followed by El Mateo (10), the Alzenit (12), the Altamar I (15), the Calero Marinas Lanzarote (15), the Luna Doce (18) and the Manitu (20).
Only the awards ceremony remained to be up to the great level demonstrated by the participants. Marina Lanzarote hosted this event to officially proclaim the new winners of the twelfth edition of the César Manrique Trophy - RCNA - Calero Marinas.
During the ceremony, several recognitions were given to various personalities and mentions were made for sporting achievements.
