Lanzarote En Pie will request the Arrecife City Council for “an exhaustive investigation” into the company Centro Canino Eria, which has been awarded the Arrecife Animal Protection Center, since it doubts that it can provide adequately the service and protect the health of the animals that are housed in the reception center.
The political formation, which maintains that it does so “without intending to criminalize any company”, thus joins the criticisms made by the ‘Sara’ protectora, in relation to the alleged “bad practices” of the company in some animal centers in Asturias.
From LEP they also lament “the inaction of the area directed by councilor Saro González”, who, in the face of complaints received, has limited herself to stating that "she knows nothing about the aforementioned irregularities.”
“There has been no follow-up on the background of the awarded company with the seriousness that this entails, since we are talking about managing the lives of the animals housed in the capital's municipal premises”, denounced the LEP spokesperson, Leticia Padilla.
