The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reviewed the alert levels again this Thursday and has decided to maintain the current situation, so both Lanzarote and the rest of the islands will continue at level 1. "In the epidemiological report of the General Directorate of Public Health, with consolidated data as of October 20, the downward trend of Covid-19 health indicators is confirmed in all the islands," they point out.

According to the Public Health report, all the islands "remain at a low or very low risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission" and "the use of health services due to coronavirus decreases", so that "green light" will be maintained throughout the archipelago.

During the last week, both the accumulated incidence at 7 and 14 days in all the islands is at low or very low risk, with the exception of Lanzarote, where at 7 days it was at medium risk this Wednesday. In fact, in both indicators it currently has the highest figures in the archipelago.

"The favorable evolution of transmission and healthcare indicators is also maintained," adds the Ministry. Regarding the occupancy of hospital beds, it indicates that it has increased compared to the previous week, but even so "all the islands are at low or very low risk." Regarding the number of occupied ICU beds, the decrease that began 8 weeks ago continues in all the islands.
