The Prosecutor's Office asks for eight years in prison for two Senegalese men for skippering a boat to Lanzarote

The migrants accused of driving the boat have been in prison since March 27 of last year

The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try two Senegalese migrants accused of skippering a boat with which they arrived in Lanzarote together with another 61 people on May 13 in Gran Canaria. The precarious boat arrived on the island of Lanzarote by its own means on March 17, 2024.

The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses D.N. and K.O., both natives of Senegal, with no criminal record and in an irregular situation in the country, of allegedly agreeing with other unidentified people and transferring 61 migrants inside to the Canary Islands.
