Several residents of Arrecife have contacted La Voz to report the "scandal" that several young people, in a caravan of cars, staged on the maritime avenue of the capital in the early hours of this Tuesday.
"There were 30 or 40 cars honking," said a woman, who also states that she called both the National and Local Police and that none came.
"The National Police told me that they were notifying the Local Police and the Local Police said that they did not have enough personnel," complains this neighbor, who also shows her "concern" about this fact. "Because then people can do whatever they want," she points out.
According to her testimony, the cars passed up to twice through the avenue at about one in the morning honking their horns. "I think it's a lack of respect," she says.
"We thought something big was happening", other neighbors have conveyed, who state that the noise woke them up and that "everyone was on the balconies" seeing what was happening.
Apparently, according to what they have conveyed, the reason for the concentration of this group of young people was to pay a kind of tribute to Howie Roka, the young player of Club Baloncesto Conejero who died a few days ago, a few weeks before turning 24 years old. "Whatever the reason, those are not the hours," however, the affected neighbors point out.
