Complaints return about the "serious problems" with water in Lanzarote. A reader this Thursday denounced in La Voz the "scam" he is suffering with the water meter. "I have the water open because the tanks are empty and more air than water is entering", he criticized.
A situation that leads to the meter counting the air that is entering. "The air counts more than the water, since when the float valve does not close and until the bag rises, the meter continues counting," he says.
The user complains about the service provided by Canal Gestión on the island. "They tell you that they charge for what passes through the meter, but if the meter has marked certain tons, they charge you the same for the sewage output and it turns out that what we are paying the most for is the air", he makes clear.
In addition, he says that they do not give him any solution to mitigate the problem. "You can spend months waiting, they don't answer the phone and when they do, they put you on hold or hang up," he says indignantly. Not to mention when he approaches the offices in person. "If you go there, they don't want to assist you, they say that without an appointment nothing and as far as I know the Government removed the appointments," he adds.
He assures that the situation is not expected to improve. "We are getting worse with the water issue," he concludes angrily.
