After being a privileged spectator at the Sports Gala, held on Monday night in the auditorium of Jameos del Agua, the famous "Salad Bowl" will be exhibited at the Lanzarote Sports City this Wednesday, March 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Fabián Martín, vice president of the Cabildo, has encouraged "all Lanzarote residents to come and see the Davis Cup, as it is a unique opportunity for all sports fans."

For his part, Manuel Cabrera, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Cabildo, has stated that he trusts that the population of the island will come to "greet the Davis Cup, and that they can personally contemplate this important trophy within the world of tennis and that Spain has won on several occasions, without going any further than last 2009".

Likewise, the Island Sports Service will pay tribute this Wednesday to the people who promoted the creation of the Lanzarote Sports City, the so-called "Magnificent Five", who were the members of the management of the Pro Sports Complex Commission, formed by Aureliano Montero Gabarrón, Agustín Acosta, Ginés Pérez and Tomás López, plus the then civil governor of the province, Don Antonio Avendaño Porrúa, who promoted the project from his position and before the state authorities.

Antonio Avendaño Porrúa himself, who is 94 years old and currently lives in Santander, will be present at the event.

Subsequently, the National Sports Press Association will present "The goal of your life", an initiative organized by the Professional Football League (LFP) and the BBVA, which will be attended by Carlos Del Campo, general secretary of the LFP and the former footballer and sports commentator Kiko Narváez.
