The Feluco Paz Arena in San Bartolomé was the setting for an exciting wrestling match and a well-deserved tribute to two of the historical figures of the San Bartolomé Wrestling Club. The batatera board took advantage of the start of the Caja de Canarias Wrestling Tournament to pay tribute to Ramón Tejera and Emilio Elvira. An emotional night that was completed with the great victory of CL San Bartolomé against CL Unión Norte.
CL San Bartolomé wanted to recognize the work done by Ramón Tejera Corujo, receiving a well-deserved tribute from the public that filled the stands of the Feluco Paz Arena and various commemorative plaques. In addition, a special mention was made to Emilio Elvira Rodríguez, receiving the plaques as Honorary President of CL San Bartolomé.
These were not the only surprises of the night. Two paintings were unveiled; one of Feluco Paz next to one of Sixto Rodríguez. The relatives of Sixto Rodríguez could not hide their emotion at the applause of the fans and wanted to thank the club and the family of Canarian wrestling.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, María Dolores Corujo, together with the councilors of Sports and Finance, Antonio Rocío and Carmen González, were present at this emotional wrestling match held on Saturday night. The highest political representatives of the municipality of San Bartolomé, did not want to miss the tribute made by CL San Bartolomé to Ramón Tejera and Emilio Elvira.
The night was completed with the victory of CL San Bartolomé against CL Unión Norte. A wrestling match that delighted the fans who came to the Feluco Paz of San Bartolomé. Rayco Tejera and Roberto Berriel were the two fighters who remained standing in the batateras ranks.
