The sporting career of the Lanzarote boxer, of Dominican origin, Mariano Hilario "Shark" continues to be plagued with successes. After conquering the title of Spanish champion of the "super middleweight" weight last summer, "Shark" made the leap to the international scene last weekend. The current champion of Spain conquered with authority the belts of the European Union and Mediterranean CMB, after defeating the Frenchman Samy Anouche by KO. A fight that would be resolved in the eighth round, in which Mariano Hilario "Shark" showed that he knows how to suffer on the canvas and when things were most complicated, he took out several rights that knocked out his rival.
Mariano Hilario "Shark" played his first fight outside of Spain last Saturday. After several months of preparation in a gym in Madrid, the Lanzarote boxer had the opportunity to assault a European scepter and continue growing as a boxer. His rival would be the Frenchman Samy Anouche, a boxer who had previously achieved fifteen victories, thirteen of them by KO.
The first rounds of the fight were for the Gallic boxer, who on points was gaining an important advantage over Mariano Hilario "Shark". The Lanzarote boxer recovered in the fifth and sixth rounds, going on the attack to try to recover the lost ground. The critical moment of the fight occurred in the seventh round. "Shark" suffered in the ring and was even about to bend the knee. He recovered and in the eighth round he went on the attack. He managed to connect several right punches in the face of his rival, and the Frenchman would end up kissing the canvas. After getting up, the main referee decided to stop the fight and give the victory to Manuel Hilario "Shark".
Mariano Hilario "Shark" was accompanied, as usual, by "Palenke". It was in the gym of the Lanzarote preparer that he began to train as a boxer and every time he competes he accompanies him from one of the corners of the ring, trying to transmit all his wisdom. With Saturday's victory, "Shark" takes the belt of champion of the European Union and Mediterranean CMB. In addition, he continues to advance positions in the EBU and World Council ranking.
We are working so that Mariano Hilario "Shark" can play a fight in Lanzarote next April and that this would be valid for the European Championship of the "super middleweight" weight. A boxing evening that could be held in Teguise, the first steps have already begun to be taken.
