Alexis Romero, together with his co-driver Martín Domínguez, took part last week in a new edition of the RACC Spain Catalonia Rally, a scoring event for the World Rally Championship. The Lanzarote team with Peugeot 208 R2 starred in a rally on Sunday that led them to a more than meritorious thirty-seventh position, with good sensations in the sections.

Alexis Romero and Martín Domínguez starred in a rally from less to more, getting to know the car and avoiding making mistakes such as punctures or road exits. Little by little they increased the pace to climb positions, with Saturday being one of the most complicated days when moving from dirt to asphalt sections.

The Rally RACC Spain Catalonia 2018 has been one of the most difficult rallies they have run, due to the prevailing weather conditions in the very complicated sections it has. They had some bad luck, as could be seen in the 2nd loop on Friday, in the dirt sections, in which they ran out of intercoms, losing many minutes, in which the driver Alexis could not receive the notes, as he would have liked, as well as the brake problems on Saturday, but the main objective was to reach the finish line and to drive from less to more and not look at the final classification.

The Peugeot 208 R2 of the Raceseven team behaved wonderfully in the four days of competition of the Rally RACC Spain Catalonia 2018. It only generated some doubts in the sections on Saturday, when the braking circuit ran out of air, which caused the brakes to lose pressure from kilometer 12 onwards.

Alexis Romero was very excited and commented "this rally has reactivated me as a driver because after many years I have driven fast again on dirt, water, mud and dry" For his part, Martín Domínguez commented, "this has been my last race, and I want to thank Alexis again for the trust he has placed in me for so many years that we have been together", The co-driver also thanks "the support received by my family in general, knowing how to understand and respect my passion, and I also do not forget the drivers with whom for one reason or another we have shared a race".
