The match became uphill for UD Lanzarote from the first minute, conceding a goal in Estrella CF's first arrival to the opponent's area and not reacting despite being behind on the scoreboard. Estrella CF rediscovered victory at the expense of UD Lanzarote and continues to aspire to fight for the four places that give the right to play the promotion phase at the end of the current season. UD Lanzarote offered little offensive baggage during the match played on Sunday morning in Las Palmitas.
The match would start adversely for UD Lanzarote. In the 2nd minute, Estrella managed to take the lead. A good cross from Romario was used by Aridani to make it 1-0. The rojillos were not comfortable on the field and Estrella had chances to increase the differences on the scoreboard. Aridani and Chelo had excellent chances, with goalkeeper Agoney preventing the goal.
Almost half an hour had to be waited to see UD Lanzarote's first approach to the opponent's goal. A free kick by Taja was deflected by central defender Acoidán for a corner. And at the edge of halftime, a cross from Andrés was finished by Romario and the ball ended up crashing into the base of the post. The score of 1-0 would reach the break of the match.
The match continued to develop in the same way in the first minutes of the second half. UD Lanzarote, timidly, sought the equalizing goal and Estrella tried to secure the victory. The locals would increase the differences on the scoreboard in the 9th minute. A good play between Matías and Aridani ended up being cleared by Agoney, the rebound reached Matías and he did not miss the opportunity to make it 2-0.
With a two-goal disadvantage, UD Lanzarote went in search of the goal that would get them back into the match. Taja with a distant shot and Rosmen had the best actions for the rojillos, with goalkeeper Santi Hidalgo being successful in preventing the goal.
The sentence would come with two minutes remaining for the conclusion of the match. A great shot by Echedey Mayor from the front of the area would end up sneaking through the squad of the goal defended by Agoney. There was no time for more and with the score of 3 to 0 the end was reached. Despite the defeat, UD Lanzarote continues to be in the middle of the table, with 32 points, one less than Unión Sur Yaiza who will see their next rival.
