It was a tricky match for CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife on Sunday midday, as the San José Obrero players were wary of Balonmano Salud Tenerife's league position. From the first minute, the Lanzarote team showed great seriousness, gradually building the game and adding two points that allow them to continue depending on themselves to achieve qualification for the promotion phase.

The first minutes of the match were marked by inaccuracies in the game by both teams, with the CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife players missing many attacking situations. Goals from Lorena Montilla and Miriam Páez (2) from the pivot, served to establish a 3-1 lead on the scoreboard in the 8th minute.

CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife gradually widened the gap on the scoreboard, increasing the defensive intensity to prevent Balonmano Salud Tenerife from enjoying comfortable shooting situations. Balonmano Salud Tenerife began to show fatigue and a lack of squad depth, in addition to some players having to play on Saturday night with the first Tenerife team in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola. The difference was more than ten goals, giving David Betancort the opportunity to rest the players with more minutes on the court.

Comfortable 25-12 victory for CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife against Balonmano Salud Tenerife, two points that allow them to continue in third place in the standings and two points behind Rodríguez Cleba. Precisely the second-placed team will be San José Obrero's rival next match, a match in which qualification for the promotion phase will be at stake.
