Altavista Club de Fútbol took third place in the X Agapito Reyes Viera Tournament, after defeating Atlético Tiense 2-0. In a match that improved as it went on, the capital team defeated Tiense, a team that was showing the fatigue of the previous day. Francisco, with two goals, led Altavista CF to victory.

The match began with Atlético Tiense dominating, a team that wanted to have more of the ball in their possession in the first minutes of the match. Despite this dominance, Altavista had the goal-scoring opportunities. The first warning from the local team came in the 11th minute. Ta took a short free kick for Maikel Caraballo and his shot went to the side of the net.

The match was not without controversy in the first half and the referee did not award two clear penalties, one for each team. Samuel "Chupa" from Atlético Tiense fell inside the area, being fouled by an Altavista defender. Minutes later, the Atlético Tiense goalkeeper grabbed Maikel Caraballo after being caught in no man's land, but the penalty was not awarded either.

As the minutes went by, Altavista took control of the game. One of the clearest chances came in the 22nd minute. Francisco tried his luck from the edge of the area, his shot hit the crossbar and ended up bouncing on the goal line itself.

Both teams were forced to make a change before the break. In the 21st minute, Cristo left the field for Atlético Tiense and was replaced by Alexander. And in the 33rd minute, Maikel Caraballo left the field for Altavista and was replaced by Rayco.

The strength of both teams began to wane in the final stretch of the first half and the players began to fight their own battles. Chances were few and far between and the score was tied at zero at the end of the first half.

Four minutes after the restart, Altavista took the lead. A cross from Ta from the left wing was headed in by Rayco at the far post, goalkeeper Raúl made a good stretch, but could not prevent Francisco from getting the rebound and scoring the first goal of the match.

Atlético Tiense dropped a lot in the second half, showing the fatigue of the match they played on Friday night against Unión Sur Yaiza. In the 58th minute, Maikel Cedrés took a free kick from the right wing, Rayco headed in and the ball hit the crossbar of the goal.

Altavista CF increased the lead in the 65th minute. After a counter-attack, Joshua put a good ball in for Francisco and the Altavista captain's volley went in at mid-height between the three posts. Altavista took control of the match and Tiense could barely withstand the onslaught of the local team.

Altavista could have scored more goals on the counter-attack. The best chance came in the 78th minute. After a counter-attack by Ta down the left wing, he passed to Vily and Raúl saved the left-back's shot as best he could.

Altavista CF's victory over Atlético Tiense by 2-0, with the team coached by Antonio Brito taking third place in the X Agapito Reyes Viera Tournament.
