Labor disputes are multiplying these days in Lanzarote and one of them directly concerns the workers of the Cabildo on account of the new Job List (RPT) of the Corporation and the Single Agreement that Inés Rojas has announced that they will approve in a few days. This Friday the UGT of the Canary Islands has expressed its "disagreement" with the imminent approval because they believe that "first it should answer the allegations that the workers of the Cabildo have presented to the RPT" and from there, "with the consensus of all the unions" present both in the Corporation and in the Works Council, the document would be approved.
They assure that Juan Santana and Inés Rojas "are not telling the truth to the public opinion" when they assure that there is consensus among the unions to approve the RPT, because neither UGT nor Intersindical Canaria have signed that document. In addition, they denounce that they have not negotiated the new Single Agreement, so "it is extraordinarily surprising" that UGT is summoned "with only 24 hours in advance" to sign the Agreement.
Hastened Agreement
They reproach the Government of the Cabildo for the "double language" they use because they disagree with the negotiation of the Agreement of the workers of the Tourist Centers now, affirming that the "pre-election and electoral dates are not good for agreeing on labor agreements", while now to approve the RPT and the new Agreement "they try to do it hastily, when there are barely 37 days left for the celebration of the elections".
