The Health Councilor of the Cabildo, Manuel Fajardo, and councilors of the municipalities of the Island met this Monday to agree on the municipal representatives on the Island Health Board.

After a brief meeting, it was agreed that Tinajo and Teguise will have the representation of the seven town councils of Lanzarote on said Board. Fajardo, who informed the town councils of the operating rules, plans to convene the first meeting of the body for March 7.

Tomorrow the representatives of the social and union groups that will become part of the Board will be appointed.

Members of the Board

The Island Board is made up of: seven representatives from the Cabildo, two from the town councils, one from the Ministry of Health of the Canarian Executive, two doctors from the General Hospital, one doctor from the Island Hospital, two representatives from patient associations and NGOs, one representative from the unions that have a presence in the health sector and one from the neighborhood association.
