The Tías City Council has delivered to the socialist deputies in the Canary Islands Parliament Lucía Olga Tejera, Marcos Hernández, Alicia Pérez and Marcos Bergaz a descriptive document with the most immediate projects for the municipality that need their support to be included in the regional budgets for 2025.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and the councilor for Economy and Finance, Tomás Silvera, thanked the parliamentarians "for coming here to learn firsthand about the projects promoted by the City Council that will have an impact on increasing the quality of life of the municipality's residents."
During the meeting, which was also attended by councilors Carmen Gloria Rodríguez, Christopher Notario, Mariana Pérez and Ismael Cruz, emphasis was placed on relevant projects such as the expansion of classrooms and functional adaptation of the CEIP Alcalde Rafael Cedrés de Tías, which has a budget of 4,814,700 euros.
They also highlighted the construction project for the development of the sanitation network in the town of La Candelaria, with a budget of 5,112,001 euros, the public toilet project at the Varadero dock, for an amount of 200,000 euros, and the installation of shade in the playgrounds of Conil, La Asomada, Masdache and Los Pocillos, which require 220,893 euros.
Likewise, the importance of supporting the pedestrian and bicycle network project on Calle Noruega, Puerto del Carmen, for an amount of 1,253,992 euros, the Conecta Tías community project, which needs 300,000 euros, and the project to improve and modernize the energy efficiency of public lighting on Calle Marte, Júpiter, Urano and Plutón, budgeted at 761,837.15 euros, was underlined.
In addition to these, there is the renovation and expansion of the Conil water supply network, whose budget amounts to 1,044,120.86 euros, and that of La Asomada, which requires an item of 1,957,267.37 euros; in addition to the project to condition the Los Chinijos Children's School and the project to comprehensively renovate the Finca Flora promenade (El Risco) to the Buenpariente road, which needs funding of 414,839.92 euros.
