The LZ-56 road, which connects Mancha Blanca with La Geria, will remain closed to traffic from next Monday. This closure is due to the fact that the Department of Public Works will begin the resurfacing and installation of new signage on said road. These works, which will affect approximately seven kilometers, are part of the Lanzarote Road Plan, which the Cabildo has programmed to improve the condition of the island's road network, whose budget amounts to 13 million euros.
For its part, this Department has asked for caution to all drivers who drive on this road affected by works. In addition, the councilor, Sergio Machín, has asked all drivers who plan to travel on this road to respect the signs placed for this purpose, to avoid possible accidents.
Ye-Arrieta section open
The Department of Public Works has also announced that in the coming days the road that connects Ye with Arrieta, which has been closed since last April 5, will be opened to traffic, due to the works that this Department was carrying out to improve the paving and signage of this road.
