The Socialist Group of Tinajo has made public its "concern about the closure of the medical office in the town, carried out by the Canary Health Service in recent days." The local socialists regret that the health center has become "a high-risk point for the integrity of users and patients and demand speed in its rehabilitation, both from the Health area and from the City Council."
Likewise, the Socialist Group of Tinajo wonders if the City Council took into account the safety of the users of the medical center when granting a license for the work that has caused the damage to the health property. And, in the opinion of the PSOE, "the City Council should have verified that the movements and works adjacent to the medical building did not affect its safety."
The socialists criticize "that a bad municipal forecast, the responsibility of the local government group (CC), causes residents the inconvenience of having to travel at least 20 kilometers from their place of residence to the San Bartolomé health center", where they will be assisted. "We understand that the City Council is responsible for ensuring the safety of residents and, consequently, of public buildings, even if they are not its direct responsibility," the Group points out.
Finally, the formation recalls that the project to build a new medical center for Tinajo is still paralyzed today. "We know that the land for the new Health center has already been given free of charge, but everything is frozen," criticizes the socialist group.
