Given the high rates of coronavirus infections that are occurring in Lanzarote, the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, has requested the collaboration of the Canary Islands Autonomous Police to reinforce the device designed to stop the chain of transmission of the coronavirus on the island.

After a meeting with the heads of the General Corps of the autonomous police, Dolores Corujo highlighted the “importance of cooperation between all the State Security forces and bodies to reinforce all those actions aimed at monitoring and sanctioning inappropriate behaviors and thus be able to stop infections.”

“The irresponsibility of a few cannot jeopardize the extraordinary effort made by the majority of citizens. We are going to increase controls and we will act forcefully against uncivil behaviors that put the health of the population at risk,” Corujo assured.
