The president of the Popular Party of Lanzarote, Astrid Pérez, has presented Ramon Ortiz as candidate for Mayor of Tinajo in the municipal elections of 2023 and has stated that "he is the best candidate and the best alternative that can be considered against a government that is in decline and that can offer very little to the residents of the municipality."

The leader of the PP has highlighted the value of Ramon Ortiz, a resident of El Cuchillo, and a person who has been very linked to municipal sports, and specifically to Canarian wrestling. In fact, for almost a decade, he was president and vice president of the Tinajo Wrestling Club, and until recently also president of the Referees Committee.

Pérez has valued Ortiz's experience as a public official since he was already a councilor of Tinajo during the past term, and therefore, we are talking about a person who knows the Tinajo town hall and who knows well how it works." "In addition, due to having had public responsibility, he knows firsthand how the municipal government proceeds and, what is very important, he knows the reality of a municipality that needs a change, a boost and other ways of doing things," the president said during the presentation.

For his part, Ramon Ortiz, acknowledged feeling very excited about this new stage and the opportunity to do what he likes most, which is "working for the residents and for Tinajo." "We all know that Tinajo needs a change and I believe that a party like the Popular Party has many things to contribute in our municipality if given the opportunity. And that is what we want," he said.
