The Popular Party of Teguise demands that the municipal government "urgently repair" the garbage collection point that was burned a month ago in Costa Teguise. In this way, the popular party has echoed "the neighborhood complaint of residents in the Tuscán, Rocas Blancas and Residencial Las Maretas complexes."
The PP councilor in the City Council, Nieves Arrocha, recalls that the containers that were in the small enclosure of Avenida del Mar “were the object of a vandal act in the early morning of October 7.” As a result of the fire, the popular party points out that all the containers “were destroyed, so the Local Police proceeded to seal off the place with tape until today.”

Arrocha points out that throughout this time “the neighbors have conveyed their complaints to the Councilor of the Area”, Eugenio Robayna, “without the city council having responded to them so far and having proceeded to repair the cracks and clean up the site.”
The popular party of Teguise adds that this fact, together with the fact that “some debris has fallen”, has caused “greater discomfort among the residents of the area”. The Popular Party also points out that some of these neighbors are seriously considering “undertaking the work with their own means.”
The Popular Party describes the situation that has been created as “shameful” and the fact that residents “are even considering this possibility due to the negligence and apathy of the municipal officials who are the ones who have to face the problem.”
