The Popular Party has announced that it has managed to push forward its proposal for the Cabildo to recover the summer university of Lanzarote and La Graciosa next year. The popular party maintains that this is an initiative for which the Cabildo "will try to gather the support of the Government of the Canary Islands as well as the two Canarian universities that already collaborated with this activity in the past".
The popular councilor and former head of Employment, Nerea Santana, highlighted during her speech in the plenary session held this Monday "the success of this initiative at the time", in which she assures that even "it even exceeded 300 and 400 registered".
“Currently it is once again a need and a clear demand from university students in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, who want to take advantage of the summer months to expand their knowledge and obtain credits for their curriculum,” added Nerea Santana.
Santana has defended "the interest that this type of activity also arouses", whether in the form of a summer university or university extension courses, "among professionals who are already employed but who are interested in adding additional training or expanding their knowledge in some subjects".
