The Arrecife City Council has rectified the statements of the councilor of Parks, Gardens and Playgrounds of the capital's council, Roberto Herbón, in the morning show of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero in which he assured that the institution had bought the property that is located in the Plaza de El Almacén.

The council has assured that the property has not yet been purchased and that the institution is working on its forced expropriation. The purchase of this property, which has been considered since 2014, is in the reassessment phase to be able to give its owners a new fair price.

In statements to La Voz, the Santana family, owner of the property, has assured that "although the City Council has the last word", they will not accept the amount announced by the Parks and Gardens councilor, who estimated its purchase at between 55,000 and 58,000 euros. "It is a property in the center of Arrecife, of about 60 square meters, and now there are no such prices in the area," one of its owners told this editorial office.
