Pedro Reyes criticized the Socialist Party candidate for mayor, Marcial Martín, whom he urged to explain "if the management and economic recovery he announces for San Bartolomé is the same as the one he developed as director of the Tourist Centers", and whose "disastrous results", Pedro Reyes described, "has been evidenced" by the draft audit carried out on the CACTS during the period 1997-2004. The PP candidate asks Marcial Martín to clarify if he comes "to clean up or plunder San Bartolomé and leave it as he left the Centers".

Asks for confidence to create a "strong and solvent" government

The popular candidate, and current Deputy Mayor of San Bartolomé, asked for the confidence of the residents to achieve a municipal government "strong, solvent, and without ties" and to be able to carry out the policies and management model of the Popular Party, which "has been limited during these four years of government" by the pact with the nationalists and with the Independent Party of Lanzarote.

The Popular Party promises, given the demographic growth experienced in recent years, to carry out the improvement of educational centers, especially in infant and primary education, and the creation of a school canteen in Playa Honda. Reyes points out within his priorities for the municipality, the Residence for the Elderly, the municipal swimming pool, a public underground parking in San Bartolomé, as well as a new Town Hall.

Pedro Reyes, who is accompanied as number two on his candidacy by Ángeles Millán, current head of Social Services and the Delegate Council of Playa Honda; stated that the General Planning Plan will allow the development of the Playa Honda Industrial Zone to become a reality and clarified that this will be "an orderly development with the best possible planning, with all the necessary infrastructures and services in terms of supplies".
