The spokesperson for the Socialist Parliamentary Group and deputy for Lanzarote, Manuel Fajardo Palarea, believes that the PP has "consummated its aggression against Lanzarote" by voting against the amendments presented by the PSOE and CC to improve the draft law for granting extraordinary credit to the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2013.During the plenary session held this Wednesday in the Regional Chamber, the legislative text has been approved after the incorporation of the amendments from the Socialist and Nationalist groups, which in the case of Lanzarote translate into almost 3 million euros.Of this amount, one million euros is for the Mácher roundabout, 1.2 million for tourist public spaces, and 736,282.54 euros for the Cabildo of Lanzarote."He has exhausted the sense of ridicule"For Fajardo Palarea, "the PP has exhausted the sense of ridicule, if it still had any left, by voting against the interests of the Island, despite the fact that just over a week ago it proclaimed in every corner of the Island that Lanzarote was mistreated in the distribution of funds contained in the Law."The conejero parliamentarian emphasizes that it is "incredible" that after carrying out this smear campaign against the deputies of PSOE and CC, the 'populars' presented insularized amendments for an amount of only 300,000 euros, "and what is more is that today they have voted against the Island receiving almost 3 million euros more than it initially had allocated."Manuel Fajardo Palarea hopes that the citizens "take good note that the PP on the Island of Lanzarote does the opposite in Parliament to what it says in the media." Finally, he considers "a shame" not to know the meaning of the vote of therepresentative of the PIL, "since he did not appear today and, therefore, did not vote on a law that just over a week ago he considered very important for Lanzarote."
