Leonardo Rodríguez, candidate for mayor of Yaiza for the Canary Coalition, has blamed the current government team for the abandonment suffered by the tourism sector in the municipality, since "it faces problems that persist over time and that receive no attention." Therefore, he has held a meeting with members of Aetur so that they can inform him of the main needs and deficiencies of the sector in Playa Blanca.

In this way, those responsible for the Lanzarote Federation of Tourism Businessmen referred to the problems of cleaning and urban conditioning and public transport. Rodríguez assured that while the meeting was taking place, "aspects came to light that not only affect tourism businessmen, but also the entire population of Playa Blanca and the payments of the municipality of Yaiza."

"These two aspects were the most highlighted by the businessmen, who showed their concern and impotence due to the malfunctioning of the transport service and the lack of efficiency in the cleaning service." For the head of the Canary Coalition list in the municipality, Leonardo Rodríguez, these deficiencies "are perfectly assumable by an Administration such as the Yaiza City Council, but it happens that there has simply been a dereliction of duty."
