Miguel Ángel Leal has filed this Monday morning an appeal before the Courts for the decision taken last Tuesday by the Federal Directorate of the Socialist Party to approve the proposal of the Island Executive and establish a Management Board in the Local Commission of Arrecife. In addition, although until now the secretary of this body, Miguel Ángel Leal, claimed not to know this decision, he finally acknowledged it this Monday, by signing the proof that he has received the official notification of the dissolution of the Local Executive Commission. However, Leal considers that it was based on a "false report", and assures that he has appealed to "be heard".
Regarding the assembly that was scheduled for Monday night, it has not yet been cancelled, despite the fact that it was established at the time by the already dissolved executive group. However, Leal assures that the only one who now has the "power" to suspend it is Manuel Fajardo. For the moment, he has assured that he will attend the "party headquarters as every afternoon" and that he will take the opportunity to inform the militants of the notification that was delivered to him on Monday.
The call for the Assembly was approved in the Local Executive Commission, held on the same day that the Island Executive decided to send the report to Madrid to request the establishment of a management board in the local group. For Miguel Ángel Leal, the actions of the island socialists violate the "rights of the militants", so he called a local Assembly to analyze the situation.
Meanwhile, the Island Executive will meet this Tuesday or at the latest on Wednesday to study the PSOE's pact with Coalición Canaria in Arrecife, which everything points to will suffer the same fate as the one in the Cabildo. In this regard, Manuel Fajardo already told La Voz that the PSOE considers that "the one in Arrecife is a finished pact". In addition, the island socialists will study the future of Miguel Ángel Leal in the party, after the latest discrepancies that have confronted him with the Island and the Regional.
