The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, and the Councilor for Security and Emergencies of the municipality, Nicolás Saavedra, received this weekend the group of Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote (Boluntis) and Civil Protection of Tías who are leaving for Valencia to help in the reconstruction efforts after the terrible floods that hit dozens of towns in the autonomous community after the passage of the DANA storm.

From the municipality of Tías, a light urban pump, an all-terrain vehicle with rescue equipment, a trailer with pumping equipment, a generator and a logistics vehicle with a drone unit, four aquatic rescue teams and two high-altitude teams are traveling to Valencia.

In total, nine firefighters will travel to the Valencian Community, who left this past Saturday at 11:00 p.m. heading to the disaster's ground zero.
