The emergency device coordinated by the Government of the Canary Islands, deployed to Valencia since November 3, faces this Saturday searches in areas of La Albufera for the location of missing persons, as well as new cleaning work of basements and garages of homes affected by the DANA and searches in areas of La Albufera, among other works.

In the Los Alfalares area, the troops are working on the removal of a large amount of mud, belongings and appliances from basements and garages of homes where there is still a lot of cleaning work to do.

For its part, the group of firefighters mobilized from Fuerteventura, which joined the Canary Islands device today together with the reliefs of the Firefighters consortia of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, searches inch by inch a sector of La Albufera to locate missing persons. The group follows the indications given by a team of Firefighters from Valencia.

A large part of the work of the Canary Islands operation is once again focused this Saturday on water extraction work from ground floors, mud removal, opening of blocked doors and removal of belongings and vehicles, among other tasks.

The team from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS), for its part, continues to provide health support to the personnel that are part of the emergency device coordinated by the Government of the Canary Islands. On the one hand, they advise them on the self-protection guidelines to be put into practice to avoid infections and provide them with the necessary material for this, and on the other, they provide assistance if necessary.

It should be remembered that tomorrow, Sunday, eleven new members of the EIRIF are scheduled to join the reliefs of Firefighters from Tenerife and Gran Canaria, BRIFOR personnel and SUC and Canary Islands Health Service personnel who arrived in Valencia last Thursday.

The successive relays will be coordinated through the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES 112) where the offers from the different local and island emergency services are received and managed.
