The association of consumers and users of Lanzarote Aculanza has come out in defense of the Head of the Digestive Area of Molina Orosa, Dr. Dulce María Reyes, who was disciplined by the Ministry of Health after her statements in which she spoke of the lack of resources in the hospital for the detection of colon cancer. The association has stated that "no coercion can be tolerated" towards her since "she has only fulfilled her duty."
In a statement, Aculanza criticizes that "instead of already promoting the corresponding hospital participation commission, so that together the Health of Lanzarote and La Graciosa can be improved", the Ministry "dedicates itself to opening a file on the messenger".
The association affirms that Dr. Reyes made the statements "after enduring for so long the incomprehension and poor budgetary allocation that the Lanzarote Health Area receives", since it is necessary "urgently to have a higher level of category, to allocate more personal and material resources".
That is why the consumer association hopes that "this procedure will be filed or closed as soon as possible, which breaks the necessary tranquility to make a better and healthier Lanzarote and La Graciosa".
