The island of Lanzarote now has an Island Theater that can accommodate the largest artistic events. The president of the Cabildo, Inés Rojas, the Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manuel Fajardo Feo, and the mayor of Arrecife, María Isabel Déniz were in charge, on the afternoon of Thursday, May 10, of inaugurating the new multipurpose hall, amid the boos of the music teachers of the conservatory who took the opportunity to make their demands heard in relation to the Cabildo's compliance with the collective agreement.
After the unveiling of the commemorative plaque of the inauguration and the speeches of the political representatives, the performance of the timple player Toñín Corujo was the final touch of the event.
