The town of Mancha Blanca was the scene, last weekend, of the monographic contest of the Presa Canario, scoring for the Club Championship and for the Canary Islands Championship, where breed confirmations were also made

From the Lanzaroteño Club of the Presa Canario they publicly thank "the essential support for the development of their objective, the fight for our breed". In particular, the club thanks the mayor of the municipality, and the Councilor for Agriculture and Livestock, Luis Miguel Pérez Berriel, “for his personal support to the event and his presence in it”.

From the club they point out that this year it has been possible to verify the interest of fans and breeders who, after 2 barren years in terms of public events due to the pandemic, “have continued to support the club with the participation of more than 50 specimens among the different categories”. They also thank the judges of the event, Ricado Oramas and David Ramos.

This year the club has once again had the presence of specimens that traveled from Tenerife, Las Palmas and Fuerteventura, which corroborates the interest aroused by this already traditional event in the municipality of Tinajo.

The club does not want to forget María Elisabeth García who, year after year, travels from Fuerteventura to help with her experience, nor the veterinarian Eva H. Toledo “who has been at the foot of the canyon to verify the good condition of the dams”.
