All the municipalities of the island are preparing to receive the Three Wise Men from the East this Friday, who will tour Lanzarote in several parades. In the case of Arrecife, their arrival is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and they will parade along the maritime avenue, from the fairgrounds to the mouth of the pier.
Six floats, as many camels and the royal entourage will participate in the capital's parade, with the fire truck of the Emergency Consortium as an escort. The monarchs will distribute around 4,000 kilos of sweets and the best wishes for peace for the year that begins.
Regarding the organization of traffic during the parade, the entrance to the Islas Canarias park parking lot will be closed from 5:00 p.m. and the exit will be through Canalejas street. Traffic closures will be carried out from 3:00 p.m., affecting the Secundino Delgado roundabout, Guenia street and access to Quesada street. The entrance and exit to the La Marina port will be in the direction of the Fishing School.
Regarding public transport, the Gran Hotel stop will be moved to the Buganvillas Shopping Center stop and the Avenida Mancomunidad stop to the Bus Interchange. The shuttle service will be interrupted from three in the afternoon until the end of the day.
Two parades in the municipality of Tías
For its part, Tías will host two parades. One of them will depart at 6:00 p.m. from the Central Avenue of Tías Alcalde Florencio Suárez. The beginning of the great parade will be next to the roundabout in front of the La Casona Restaurant and from there they will parade along the central avenue, Libertad and La Luchada streets until they meet the children inside the Tías Municipal Sports Center, where Their Majesties will receive the last letters from the children.
Next, the Kings of the East will move to Puerto del Carmen, to participate in another parade that will begin at 7:30 p.m. from the end of Teide street and will run to El Varadero square to meet with the boys and girls of this tourist town. The Three Wise Men, and their entourage, will travel along Avenida de las Playas to the vicinity of the Hotel San Antonio.
In addition, in the Plaza de El Varadero an area of children's attractions with mats and inflatable castles will be installed on Friday afternoon, from 6:00 p.m., which will be enlivened by the Clown Bs.
Arrival in Yaiza at 5:00 p.m.
The other municipality that will have a double parade is Yaiza. The first stop for the Kings will be in Yaiza, at 5:00 p.m., where the procession will be animated by the Municipal Band, the Los Yaiseros troupe, stilt walkers, jugglers and well-known protagonists from the world of comics. From an hour before, the Plaza de Los Remedios will host face painting and balloon twisting activities, among others.
After their tour and meeting with boys and girls in Yaiza, the Kings will continue their journey in Playa Blanca. The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. to the rhythm of the Villa Pipol batucada, but there the parade will also have the complicity of Los Yaiseros, stilt walkers, jugglers and children's characters. The procession will depart from the Guaguas Station area, then go down Jaime Quesada street and Papagayo Avenue, to end in Plaza del Carmen.
Everything ready in San Bartolomé, Teguise, Haría and Tinajo
In San Bartolomé, the Three Wise Men will make their entrance at 7:00 p.m., starting the tour at the Institute and ending at the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park. This parade is also added to the one that the municipality already experienced this Thursday in Playa Honda, where Their Majesties advanced their arrival one more year.
As for Teguise, on the morning of this Friday it has already been possible to see the Kings of the East in several towns, since between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. they toured the towns of the municipality. As for the La Villa parade, it will begin at 7:00 p.m. starting from La Molina (next to the school).
For its part, Haría will await the arrival of Their Majesties with a show of acrobatics, jumps, carries and balances that will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Plaza de Haría. Next, the traditional parade will begin, with the representation of the House of Herod to end with the distribution of gifts in the Plaza de Haría.
Finally, Tinajo will celebrate its parade from 5:30 p.m., departing from the football field to the Plaza de San Roque. Afterwards, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a musical show in the Tinajo Social Hall by the Municipal Dance School.
