This Saturday at 10:00 a.m. the Eucharist of pilgrims was celebrated, thus continuing with the programmed events of the festivities in honor of Our Lady of Las Nieves. Mass was presided over by the parish priest of Tías, Agustín Lasso.
Once finished, the offering was made before the image of the Virgin in which some residents from the nearby towns of the municipality of Teguise participated, who were also joined by some councilors. These are non-perishable products that will be delivered to Cáritas Parroquiales de Teguise to be distributed among the neediest families in the municipality.
As is customary among the devotees of the Virgin of Las Nieves, many are those who every year, in the days close to the big day, set out very early in the morning to reach the sanctuary, thus paying the promise made, and more than ever this year in which Covid has us all very worried.
The next appointment with Our Lady of Las Nieves will be on Thursday at 12 noon where the Solemn Eucharist will be celebrated, which will be presided over by Agustín Lasso Tadeo, parish priest of Tías, and the sanctuary will remain open from 09:00 to 18:00 hours, which will conclude the events scheduled for this year.
