Last Friday, the Lanzarote Center and Residence for the Disabled was launched, which since the end of January has been managed by the Adislan Association. The users of the Drug Addiction Network of the Cabildo of Lanzarote have collaborated intensively in the conditioning and cleaning of the center.

The Councilor for Social Welfare of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Marciano Acuña, has conveyed his recognition to the members of the therapeutic community of the Zonzamas Center "for the effort and involvement they have had, leaving the Day Center and Residence for the Disabled in perfect condition for the use and enjoyment of the people and families who will come to these facilities."

Similarly, the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, has joined this recognition and public gratitude, "for the dedication and solidarity they have offered, for the task of cleaning up these new facilities that remained closed and inoperative since the Residence works were completed more than two and a half years ago."

The councilor details that "thanks to this solidarity action and, in turn, therapeutic for the members of the workshops of the Drug Addiction Network of the Cabildo, Adislan has already been able to start the transfer of personnel, furniture and equipment from its old premises to the new Center".

The Department of Social Welfare plans a future visit to the facilities to officially inaugurate the center, although given the urgent need to start its social care services, the residence began operating last Friday.
