The Colombian hitman arrested last weekend in Argana Alta, Jesús Alejandro Ramírez Valencia, author of 13 homicides in his country, ordered murders in Colombia while living in Lanzarote, as reported by the newspaper La Provincia.

In his country they consider him the author of at least 13 homicides and murders. In some he allegedly acted as the executor and in others he allegedly ordered the deaths. In fact, once settled in the Canary Islands, he ordered several of these executions, one of them in the summer of 2021.

Ramírez Valencia has the status of what in Colombia is called a "determinant", that is, the one who orders the execution of people who obstruct or hinder his criminal organization.

The investigators of the Drug and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife know that the hitman entered Spain, from Panama, in September 2019. It was the only time in all this time that he used his passport, and tried to avoid any procedure in an administration that would reveal his place of residence.

The first steps of the National Police allowed them to know that he had a home in the Valle de San Lorenzo, in Arona (Tenerife), but when they tried to locate him, they did not obtain positive results. They later learned that he had moved to Lanzarote, where he was arrested last weekend.

Ramírez Valencia was aware of the interest of the authorities of his country in catching him. And, for that reason, he led a very discreet life, to the point that he barely left his home. His degree of isolation was such that he has a young child in Tenerife, whom he never visited, in order not to be arrested or located in his travels.
