The residents of Teguise honored Our Lady of the Snows this Saturday, with the traditional pilgrimage that departed from different points of the municipality until reaching the mountain. Around 4:30 p.m., some residents of Teguise started from the vicinity of the soccer field, with the official float of the Teguise City Council leading the march.

At the same time, the residents of the towns of El Mojón and Los Valles also left, facing the strong wind and arriving at the mountain hermitage around 6:30 p.m. The parish priest José Benito Gallego added a new change this year with respect to the act of offering to the Virgin, and for the first time the image of Our Lady of the Snows did not go out to the esplanade in front of her hermitage, remaining inside it next to the main altar.

It was there that the La Gran Aldea de Teguise folklore group sang and danced for her, and the Tercera Edad Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe and Los Valles parrandas did the same with their songs. The pilgrims also left their offerings there, depositing several kilos of products at the feet of the Virgin, which will then be distributed among the neediest families.

After the offering, the celebration of Holy Mass began. Afterwards, the most festive stayed around the hermitage, playing the timples and guitars, joined by their already hoarse voices.
