Playa Blanca beach has been reopened for swimming this Monday, as reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium. Access to the beach was closed last Friday morning in the southern town, due to contamination from residual spills.
After carrying out the relevant analyses to determine the moment of reopening and access to the beach and determine the origin of the spill, this Monday citizens will be able to enjoy a dip in the sea again.
It should be remembered that this is not the first time that the same beach has been closed due to contamination. On May 4, a sewage spill also forced its closure for four days. Consortium sources told the EFE Agency that the spills were due to a problem originating in the pumping station. The beach was reopened to the public on May 7 after obtaining the corresponding analyses.
