The Ministry of Health has reported this Tuesday 515 new coronavirus infections in Lanzarote. In this way, the Island once again exceeds half a thousand infections in one day, after several days with lower figures.
Active cases currently stand at 6,594, after adding 351 medical discharges on Monday.
During this Monday a total of 1,117 diagnostic tests were carried out, more than double the previous day, when only 438 were carried out.
The accumulated incidence has decreased slightly compared to the previous day and stands at 1,694.35 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days. On the other hand, the incidence at 14 days has increased and is already at 3,271.25 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 16,624 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Lanzarote, of which 9,968 have already overcome the disease and 63 have died.
Regarding the hospital situation on the Island, there are three more patients than on the previous day. Specifically, there are 22 people in the plant enabled for patients with coronavirus in the Molina Orosa hospital, in addition to another admitted to the Insular Hospital. However, there is only one person admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, one less than this Monday.
As reported by the Lanzarote Health Area, the patients are between 20 and 97 years old. In addition, the director of the Area, Noelia Umpiérrez, has confirmed on Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero that the 2-year-old child who was admitted with Covid has already moved to the pediatrics area.
