Maritime Rescue has rescued 42 migrants this Tuesday afternoon off the coast of Lanzarote, 20 nautical miles east of Arrecife.
As reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium, the precarious vessel will arrive at the Puerto Naos dock at 5:17 p.m. In that place, these 42 men of Maghreb origin will be attended to. All of them are in good health.
The means activated for the rescue has been the Salvamar al Nair of Maritime Rescue, a vessel that has sighted the boat, after a call from the immigrants themselves to the CECOES and the provision of their coordinates, specifically at 2:25 p.m.
This is the third boat that has been intercepted on the coasts of Lanzarote this Tuesday. During the early morning, 98 people were rescued. In the first boat, 47 immigrants were traveling, 40 men and 7 women, all of them in apparent good health. In the second boat, 51 immigrants arrived, 44 men and 7 women, also all in good health, so no hospital transfer was necessary.
