Maritime Rescue has rescued two boats with 98 people near the coasts of Lanzarote, specifically, 10 nautical miles from the island, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

In the first boat, 47 immigrants were traveling, 40 men and 7 women, all of them in apparent good health. In the second boat, 51 immigrants have arrived, 44 men and 7 women, also all in good health, so no hospital transfer has been necessary.

The means activated for the two rescues have been: the Salvamar Al Nair of Maritime Rescue and the Maritime Rescue aircraft Helimer 204, as reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium.

One of the boats was located at 04.20 hours by the Helimer 204 aircraft, and mobilized by the aircraft in its search, after the warning from the immigrants themselves to the CECOES. In addition, both boats have been adrift unmarked.

After the rescue, the Salvamar went to Puerto Naos in Arrecife, where the migrants were attended by the Red Cross.
