National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested a 34-year-old woman, with a long criminal record, as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery.
The events unfolded when a National Police patrol carrying out prevention work on León y Castillo street in the capital of Lanzarote observed a woman carrying a knife in one of her hands while displaying a threatening attitude towards two men who were in the place.
The woman was immediately disarmed by the police officers, who proceeded to arrest her as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery, after confirming with several witnesses that she had demanded money from several people brandishing the knife to intimidate them.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
