Agents of the National Police Corps of Arrecife have proceeded to arrest Danys Eli M.G., 32 years old, with one arrest in Arrecife, for intentional homicide, assault and violation of the Immigration Law and Oder Anael G.A., 28, with no police record, both of Honduran nationality, who in recent months had allegedly perpetrated at least eleven robberies with violence or intimidation in the downtown area of Arrecife using knives.
These events had been occurring since last December, with the circumstance that, in all cases, it involved two individuals of South American appearance who surprisingly approached their victims on public roads, threatening and intimidating them with knives, stealing money and effects they were carrying at that time.
Agents attached to the Local Brigade of the Judicial Police of the Arrecife Police Station, proceeded to intensify surveillance in the downtown area of the capital, locating two people who met the physical characteristics provided by the complainants, and who at the time of their identification were carrying knives.
Transferred to the police station, the corresponding investigation was initiated to try to clarify the facts and their alleged participation in them as there were indications that these individuals could be the perpetrators of such robberies.
Once the necessary evidence was gathered, the full identification and attribution of the facts to their alleged perpetrators was carried out, who were arrested, instructing the corresponding proceedings with which they were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, which ordered their imprisonment.
