Three young men, identified as Juan Airan P.D., a citizen of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Leonardo Daniel S.B., a native of Uruguay, and José Vicente B.R., a resident of Arrecife, have been arrested by agents of the Local Brigade, accused of an alleged crime of vehicle theft.
The events occurred when local police officers, who were carrying out surveillance work in the areas of Valterra and Altavista, after receiving several reports of robberies in industrial warehouses in these places, observed a vehicle that seemed suspicious to them, since the car passed through the area several times. The officers of the Local Brigade decided, then, to identify its occupants. When they did so, the suspects fled, but were later arrested, and it was found that the car had a hot wire.
The three young men, who were barely 20 years old, have been placed at the disposal of the court. Juan Airan P.D. already had three arrests for robbery, for endangering traffic safety and resisting authority. Leonardo Daniel S.B. and José Vicente B.R. had been arrested on seven and four occasions, respectively, for crimes against property.
